Star Wars and the Power of Costume Exhibition

Hey everyone!

So it's no big secret that I'm a huge Star Wars fan. It's also no big secret that I love me a props exhibit. One of my favorite places to go in the city is Discovery Times Square; they always have the best exhibitions and I've gone to every one they've had for the last few years. I went to another movie/prop exhibit there a few months ago (The Hunger Games exhibit, which you can see the post on here), but this one has by far been my favorite one yet.

The exhibit, which showcases the actual props and costumes from all 6 episodes (and even a few from the upcoming movie), just opened up last week and out of all the years I've been going to DTS I have never ever seen it as packed as it was today.

Before you go into the actual exhibit, they show you a quick little video on the designers and how they came up with the ideas and how they executed everything. It was super interesting to see that and then walk in and see the finished products right before you. You think the costumes are nice on screen? Well, lemme tell you, they are absolutely amazing and breathtaking up close. The amount of detail that went in to every piece, whether it was a dress, a robe or even the weapons themselves, was ridiculously thought out, they totally are complete works of art just on their own.

I pretty much took pictures of every piece that was there, and if any of you are in the NY area, you should definitely check it out, the exhibit's opened through September 2016!
